James Hinds was the lawyer for Paul Manafort’s son in law, Jeffrey Yohai, when Yohai entered a guilty plea to criminal charges of real estate fraud. He quit in May of 2018 because Yohai had stopped paying him and was not being candid with his lawyers.
Yohai’s plea was part of a deal with Bob Mueller in exchange for his cooperation in the ongoing investigations.
