Koalas eat Eucalyptus leaves and although there are over 800 kinds of Eucalyptus trees leaves, the Koalas will feed on only a few of them. While deforestation is largely responsible for the declining population of the Koala Bear, they are also being affected by the decreased nutritional content in the Eucalyptus leaves due to increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
