In our Predator Files video series, we’ve laid out the origin story for Rob Monster’s “bulletproof” infrastructure. He didn’t just find a random tech company; he deliberately acquired Sibyl, a company run by teenagers whose real, not so hidden business was producing and selling anime CSAM.
Monster did this to get his hands on the one thing he desperately needed: the “bulletproof” hosting credentials held by Sibyl’s 19 year old CEO, Marcelo Goncalves. After acquiring Sibyl, Monster put its staff on his payroll and got control of Marcelo’s anycast license and ASN, making Epik its own unaccountable landlord.
While employed as Monster’s top tech admin, Marcelo was also a “domainer”—an individual who buys and sells domain names. And the domains he collected were anime-related domains, including one called Loliland.net.
The archive records for this domain are damning. They show Loliland.net was an expired domain when Marcelo purchased it and after he bought it, the domain was put on Epik’s nameservers.
With a name like Loliland.net, we had to check its history.
We looked up the domain on the Wayback Machine, the internet’s digital archive. What we found wasn’t anime. The archives for Loliland.net contained the digital graveyard of a long-defunct CSAM company where we found magazines for sale, all featuring provocative pictures of real minors. The lolis of loliland.
We immediately reported the page to the Internet Archive. To their credit, they didn’t just remove the page; they removed the entire archival history for Loliland.net, wiping it from public view.
It’s disturbing that Rob Monster’s “Christian” company, Epik, bought the company (Sibyl) that produced anime CSAM, but if he could ignore what his employees were doing, it’s scary to think what he allowed his customers to get away with.
